Rebecca Mulungi

Chairperson

Bekhie, is a health communications and fundraising specialist with experience from both international and local non-profit organizations. She believes in equity and social justice for all human beings and that is the reason she gravitates towards developmental work. Additionally, she is passionate about social entrepreneurship especially for women and young people because of its power to drive towards lasting social change that benefits society. She always actively joins spaces and conversations of meaningful growth in the African context — using the available opportunities to reach for more while building a generation that’s breaking barriers at all fronts.

Jane Frances Nakanwagi

Member

Jane is a Project Planning and Management Specialist with over 9 years of experience in the field. She has worked with both local and International Non-Government Organizations in both humanitarian and development sectors in various roles with a focus on Project Planning Management (PPM) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). This work experience is across sectors of Livelihood, Education, Food Security and Nutrition Energy and Environment, Health and WASH amongst others. Jane has extensive experience in program design, implementation and evaluation.

Damalie Nabalongo

Member

Damalie is a Business Lead at Payments Canada. She previously worked as a Program Analyst at Cooperative Development Foundation of Canada, a global social impact partner that allies with local communities to achieve sustainable economic and social development through cooperative models. She holds an MBA from the Paris School of Business and a BASc. in Economics and International Relations from Quest University Canada. Damalie is a long-term proponent of women’s rights and is involved in various initiatives promoting girls’ education and mentorship.

Milly Bridget Nakigozi

Member

Milly is a peer educator withover 5 years of experience working with communities, especially young mothers. She has taken lead in various empowerment programs for young mothers, linking them to support services to enable them to overcome gender-based violence. Milly has also worked with several NGOs in the areas of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)/ HIV as well as livelihood programs for young people. She is an ardent advocate for gender equality and has facilitated a multitude of seminars for young people on gender-related issues.

Dr Brian Tebusweke

Secretary

A medical doctor by profession, Brian has over 8 years of experience working in remote hard to reach areas and resource-limited settings. He has worked as a health service provider in private for-profit, private not for profit and public health sectors. He believes that all people should have access to quality affordable health services when and where they need them. Specifically, he is passionate about improving access to healthcare services for young people, vulnerable & marginalized populations.

Simon Peter Wamale

Member

Simon has over 10 years of experience in financial management. He is currently the Finance Manager at USAID Institutional & Systems Strengthening Activity. He previously worked as Senior Finance Officer at USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda Activity (RHITES-EC) Project. Prior to this, he was finance manager at USAID Uganda Strengthening Decentralization for Sustainability (SDS) project among others. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies specializing in Accounting. Simon has a strong command in finance systems, reporting, donor rules & compliance. He stands for efficient utilization of resources.
